    Can you name the breed?

    I was given this hen and I am wondering if anyone can tell me what she is? She's beautiful and has been laying almost everyday.

    A new chicken fan!

    This is my son with his 6 week old Speckled Sussex. This chick adores him and he adores her. They are so cute together! She sleeps in his lap and follows him whenever he's close by. He is definitely a fan!

    A Hen in the water

    I have a Calico hen that seems to be part duck. She climbs in the water and stomps and splashes like a fool! She isn't hurting anything, poop lands outside the bowl. I just find it odd. It's not hot here yet, she looks like she's playing! Has anyone else had a turkey do this?

    Chickens won't roost

    Have they been roosting up to this point? I recently bought some Partridge Rock hens and at roughly 9 months, they have no inclination to roost at night. They sleep in a pile and they like it that way. They roost during the day, but in the dark they snuggle!

    How old is this Tom?

    I'm wondering if anyone can tell me approx how old this Tom is? He has no spurs and is about the same size as a full grown hen.

    Turkey Treats

    What do you use for turkey treats? I'm going to try to teach my turkeys to come out of the pasture with a clicker and want something to make them want to come in so I don't have to herd them.

    How much room?

    I am about to become the proud owner of a trio of penciled calico turkeys. Realistically, how much room do they need when they are not free ranging? I can only free range on the days I don't work. We've raised day old poults before, but we always sell them. This will be our first grown birds.
