    Best thing I ever got was a motion activated sprinkler!! I have it set to night mode only, it has been the only thing that has kept all predators away.

    Yeah, we are pretty sure we need to find a home for him, but we want him to be well taken care of and not eaten. My son hatched him from an egg. He is very sweet otherwise.

    That's good to know! We were going to check with our local feed store tomorrow. Supposedly they find homes too. If that doesn't work, that will be my next move. Blue Kote, I saw that. If we can remove the rooster tomorrow I will definitely get that so she can be back with her sisters.

    We are thinking we have to find a new home for him. We want him to go to a good home that won't eat him. He is beautiful and great with people. We can't keep having her attacked. He picks on the baby silkys too.

    We were gone for the day but in the morning had no indication that our oldest chicken was in any distress. When we came back, we found her dead beside her first egg. She had what looked like an extreme prolapse including her intestines out. There was not a lot of blood showing at all though...
