Well, grinding my own flour would be wonderful. What a great suggestio; I'll just put it on my list of things to learn how to do. That list just keeps getting longer. Ha ha.
Had family in yesterday and made chicken and noodles with my own chickens and homemade noodles with my eggs. Fresh potatoes from the garden, corn and oh my it was so good. Definitely worth the aggravations lol. It's such a good feeling ! And I am soooo greatful !

Ok. Last call. 6 month old buff and buff/ barred rock layers for sale. Organic non gmo feed and free ranged. They re so much fun, but I am overrun with sggs and need to decrease the flock. I hate to do it but the ones left will go to freezer camp next week.
Well the silly girls are shy but the boys aren't.
When I finally get a couple together, they spook and run a banshee! They are so funny!
Oh well there are buff Orpington hens at 5 months old and some mixed reds at same age. If anyone is interested just pm me. I am located near Warsaw. Thanks...
Well. The big boys are off to freezer camp I can't believe how much quieter it is here.
Now to start whittling down the group. I don't know what I was thinking.... they were so cute when she hatched them !
They were all fed organic, non gmo, no drugs, free ranged on chemical free land and...
Does anyone have an idea what this little chick in the front is? She was in a box marked mixed reds at the farm store. Those in the pix all have the same birthday, but what a diff in sizes
I am looking for ventilation ideas especially on tbe gray one. One of these will be chix coop and the other my garden shed. Thankyou in advance for your input.
At 8 months ours were at a disappointing 3 # butchered. We fed recommended commercial feed avail all the time. These were hatchery birds. Great layers. Should have kept them as layers lol. Prob will go back to brahma next time.
