Question about our new PVC Pipe feeder

I use a similar feeder system where I have the PVC corner in a 5 gallon Bucket. I have mine oriented slightly differently so its harder for the chicken to get there feet in or anything other than stick their head in the hole to eat. In this bucket that is a street elbow with the other hole...

Hey Newbie here, Planning on getting a small flock 3-4 chickens having debate whether to buy a prema

Most people are not pleased with the pre-fab coups. They are generally undersized and not very durable. If you and your husband are DIY inclined I would try to build my own. You would be able to customize it for your weather conditions. There is a lot of information on coops in the learning...

Bait my empty coop to check how predetor proof it is?

My wife and I are having similar questions. I have done everything to make our coop as secure as possible. We have a lot of feral cats, opossums, racoons, stray dogs and hawks. I just wonder if there is something i might have missed. Curious to see if anyone has any great tips to check things out.

I am going since I finally got all my paper work filed and a verbal ok from the city while I wait for my permit in the mail. I feel like a little kid waiting for Christmas. My wife and I are very excited. Hope to see some of you there. I am hoping to find some black australorps and other good...

New coop/run from existing old shed... ideas, advice. Pic heavy.

Looks like you have some decent framing to work with in the existing shed. If your worried about the hot weather maybe you could remove the wall that faces the run and replace it with something you can open close? Looks like you could remove the tin and replace with hardware cloth to get the air...

    Poisonous Vines Ate Old Pens

Quick google says Virginia creeper is toxic to chickens so i would clear as much as you can to ensure they can't get into it. :) good luck on your bushwhacking.
