    Is free range safe?

    I want my chickens happy. I free range when I get home from work. I lost one pullet out of run to hawk so I covered run. Big risk free ranging but it makes them so happy. At night they are locked in coop which is a van.

    What do you feed your chickens?

    I feed them pellets. For treats they get scratch, grapes, tomatoes,watermelon, cantaloupe, cucumber, strawberries, mealworms, crickets, about anything. They love it!

    I am not a fan of RIR, Leghorn, or bantams. Still learning my BRLW is at bottom of pecking order in my flock so far.

    My coop is a van. Nesting boxes are made out of the cabinets that were already in it. It was a work van.
