I am having a new coop built this week and will need nesting boxes. What is the preferred material? I live in Upstate New York and was told that the metal nesting boxes would be too cold in the winter.
I ended up having to help one that pipped but exhausted itself and was making no progress. Be very careful, I was so careful and methodical and thank god it worked out for me. Good luck
It appears to have been a water heating disk, very high winds, new shavings blown under the disk and the thermostat kicking on and sparking the shavings. :(
