Hi, I'm in a very small town in South Carolina and have backyard chickens. Decided to join today for help with a injured rooster after searching online.
This is Houdina and the first time our flock seen snow. It was so funny, they would not come out of the pen until I shoveled them a path across the yard.
I will try to send pictures. The spur was not ripped off, but we went ahead and cut it off because it was long.No bleeding and his leg does not appear to be discolored or cold. Looking for a vet, but I don't think there are any for farm animals near me.
Rooster spur got stuck in fence and was hanging upside down. One leg appears to be injured at the hip area. He can't full stand on it and it goes out to the side. We have him resting as comfortable as possible. Not sure what to do.
