Can someone please confirm what u believe to be EE's. My uncle keeps telling me they're Aracaunas, they were sold to me as Americanas. Also, are they both pullets? Or is there a rooster?
Thank you and I hope luck is on my side. Quick question, I've read recently about normal poop. However I don't recall seeing anything on pale poos. One or two of my chicks have this wierd pale maybe pink poo. All the others are the normal poo I would expect. Are my chickies sick?
I added it after cleaning their bottoms. I'm so thankfully for having my girls around with the baby chicks. They were great helpers when it came to cleaning the chicks up.
Well it's nice to meet someone that is in the same boat. I'm a first time owner of chicks and there is a lot to learn, I'm finding out. 3 of my 8 chicks already had pasty butt. I've taken care of it. Gross. But hopefully nobody gets it again.
Also, I have two barred rock chicks. One of them, the one with Pasty Butt, I thought might be a rooster, has a dark bottom. While the other BR has a white bottom. I've read that roosters have more white. So, the "crowing" I heard, was possibly a hen just in pain from not being able to poo?
