These photographs show "diana", who has taken to mounting our middle-aged silkie hen. The hackle feathers and saddle feathers seem a bit pointy, and the behavior says rooster, but no crowing yet. (S)he is maybe 17 - 18 weeks old. Can anyone tell me - male or female?

Thanks so much for the great advice. The silkies are strong, and this morning we slowly added the older chicks. No problem - although the silkies did try pecking the toes of the older ones. This is a great forum, and I appreciate all the excellent information available.
