    Finally!

    I think the recent warm weather is what got them going, we went from -0 to 60 in a few days. Something else that is interesting, I looked back at my calendar, I picked them up on the 10th of July, 6 months to the day later I get eggs.

    Finally!

    They were slow getting started, but the girls finally came through. We got them in early July so it only took 6 months. I figure the cold and snow slowed them down some. Still very proud of the first 3 eggs.

    My wife and I with our 4 grandgirls are only a couple weeks in to our new adventure. So far So good, we have 3 Rhode Island Reds and 3 Buff Orpingtons. Thanks for all the great information we found here, it really helped us get started. Look forward to learning more and maybe at some point even...
