    No rooster in our flock. Just the girls, so no hatching for us. We’ve set up more boxes. I’m just going to let them ride it out.

    I worry about the other 6 who are not being allowed in to lay. There isn‘t anywhere else for them to lay in the coop or run.

    I hadn’t noticed any weight loss but my older hens, all 2.5 years are smaller than the new Wyandotte’s I got this spring. I’m hoping this is just a one off and everyone else is fine.     I think she was a red sex link or Cinnamon Queen. She was a pretty consistent layer all of last year but wound down in the winter and never started up again. Got her as a chick at the farm store. Just hoping it’s not something that’s going to run through the whole flock
