    Aviary grit for chickens

Went to my local feed store and all they had was aviary grit. I was told by one of the workers who is raising 200 chicks that aviary grit is okay to feed 6 week old chicks. Anyone ever use aviary grit for chickens?

I have 8 week old chicks. They are kept in a pen and do not forage in the yard as we live in the city. Do chickens that are penned need deworming?

New to chickens in my yard

That is scary. Good thing your chicks were a little older. Otherwise, they would have been tasty morsels. I watched several videos on YouTube of chickens the day after an attack and its so heartbreaking. I have an extra wired pen I can use to cover them while they are outside. Will need to put...
