IMO, stick with heat plates the heat lamps can cause fires ezy and u don't won't ur money going down the drain. So just go with plate but make sure it provides heat for all the chicks.
It was 2 small bumps on each wing but now it's worse it's pecking at it. And if it helps, it's a turken, and lives with 2 other chicks (silkes), but one chick did die (lavender orpington I hatched)( day1 of these guys with me)
My lavender orpingtons where like that with some of my old teen chicks but, they where on the other side of a fence in the run. And after a while they stopped picking on them.(well in tell they broke in and the younger fought back)
One of my lavender orpington rooster is a cross-beak barely but, this little guy is more then him so idk how it will grow
And idk if it cross-beaked because genetics or from incorrect incubation ( for both)
