    I'll try posting a picture tomorrow or Wednesday. Our 10 year old daughter just got admitted to the hospital for appendicitis.

    So are these saddle feathers then?? How come the other cockerel was so quick to develop and we knew right away he was a boy but this one had all the signs he was a girl, besides his comb and wattle getting bigger lately??

    Hi We purchased 8 baby chicks in early March and 2 of them were Buff Orpingtons. They were our only non sexed breed we purchased and one we sexed early on based off wing feather pattern, tail feathers coming in later than the hens, and his comb and wattle was much much bigger than the other...
