I find this really interesting. I have a fairly bad reaction to any eggs that from chickens that consume any soy. I’ve been trying to find good research on the gluten concern, in terms of chicken diet. Thanks for sharing this!

I have a guinea who is becoming a bit of a bully. I just noticed these black spots on this guy’s comb this evening, and I’m assuming they are pecking scabs from said guinea, but I wanted to get feedback. Hoping it’s not pox!!!
Soy isoflavone (the common soy allergen) comes through in eggs from chickens who have eaten soy. In fact, it can be a concentrated dose, causing a strong reaction in folks like me who are allergic to it. Regular eggs give me a terrible reaction lasting weeks; soy-free eggs, no problem! 😺
