Dandelion and Clover

Work-a-holic who is determined to retire early and live off the land. Trying to slowly make my urban home (read tiny yard) garden & chicken friendly. After spending years living in Chicago, Central Illinois gives a little more space for outdoor living. Hoping to buy something that could be an actual homestead in the next 5 years.

Updated 5 years later.... Still a work-a-holic. Moved further south to 1.5 acres. Not as big as I had hoped for but I'm too picky! Property is in a little country cul-de-sac and has a "creek" dividing garden/chickens/ducks from house. Making it into the best little micro homestead one day at a time.
