    6 month old roo not crowing?

    We are pretty new to our flock and have found a lot of great info on here! So, does anyone know about when a rooster will start crowing. Our guy is a little over 6 months old, very sweet and mild compared to a lot of rooster stories I have read. But I haven't even heard him try to crow?

    He was getting picked on by a hen for a while, started letting him out of the run by himself during the day and that stopped. He is very mild mannered and sweet but seems healthy otherwise.

    There was a time when one of the hens were getting a little rough with him possibly trying to pick mites off him. Found him hiding in the nest boxes to get away from her a couple times. Blood spots make sense. Thanks for the advice we will give it a try. He is such a sweet, mild mannered roo.

    Hi all, we have a few of our birds with start showing up with these little blacks spots or bugs on their combs. Our rooster, who is in the picture, has has some little black bugs on his body too. We have powdered the whole flock and the body bugs have improved a lot but these spots on the comb...
