When this young bird hatched she was different from the rest. While she was able to walk, it was obvious she had balance problems and walked with a teetering gait. As a newborn chick I doubted that she would survive and separated her from the rest. In no way could she compete for food and water...
Of the five eggs, three chicks hatched. A fourth egg is in the incubator as a possibly late hatch. The fifth egg died early in incubation. Not bad for a first time!
The rooster is a booted serama. His crow is medium, but his brother has a soft Crow which would be fine in town. This serama pair is in the house. The crow is soft. Many serama have a very loud Crow so if you get one make sure it is an adult where you know what the crow sounds like.
