    My for sure female has been honking since 4 weeks, and so was this duck that I am asking about. But this one duck just make no noise anymore at all. My males still peep though.

    Mine are growing. One was honking at 4 weeks and has just gone silent. I thought for sure it was a female, and it was vent sexed female. But it has ceased honking and does not have any sort of raspy quack either.

    You need permits for any mallard that is not a pekin, and muscovies do not need permits. This applies to domestic mallards which involves Swedish, khaki, rouen, etc etc. They all must be caged
