Thanks so much. I know that they were all hatched out of blue eggs. The bottoms of their feet are white and their skin is white under their feathers as well. I had a feeling they were EE but just wanted to make sure.
I go them from a guy that said he breed them. But the more that I have researched the breed the more I think I was fooled. They are going to be very pretty birds though. They are getting their feathers in now. They are about 3-4 weeks old. I think.
Please keep us posted. I have only had eggs hatch out 1 time and it was years ago. Just getting started again and reading up on all the info that I can.
Got a kind of strange question. Is it better to breed a EE to a EE or to another breed of roo like, Barred rock or RIR? Thanks for any info. Also I got these chicks and was told they were pure Ameraucana chicks but after looking at this not so sure. Would you mind giving me your thoughts??
One of the best sitting hens that I ever had was a buff cochin. We use to put other chickens eggs in her nest and she would hatch them out. I wish I could find another hen just like her.
Hello, I have 5 Barred Rock hens and 2 RIR hens in with my Roo. I was trying to figure out what a fertile egg would look like, I cracked 4 of them this morning to make breakfast and they all pretty much looking the same to me. Are these fertile or not?? Thanks for all your help!!
