    Is there any way to know if it alive before I go fussing with it? Can I candle a cracked egg? The only thing holding it is the membrane.

    Nope. The incubator is in lockdown and I was sitting right there. He didn't open it. Just looked in through the glass. Just weird. I checked them all just before lockdown. Candled them and saw no cracks. Could it be a humidity issue?

    I put my eggs in lock down this morning with paper towel on the floor of the incubator so as to keep the chicks off the grate.
