Wow! We had three eggs today! So excited! The hens are exactly 20 weeks old and I still think only three of them are laying. :cd

We are getting at least one egg a day and sometimes two eggs. I think only one or two hens are laying right now so I am hoping to get lots more soon! :yiipchick

Our Golden Comets and Buffs have been friendly. Every time we open the gate, they come running and are up under our feet. They also like jumping on our backs and shoulders to roistering as we are filling up water and feed trays. Never aggressive, always curious. :yiipchick

This is our first time raising chickens and the Buffs are so friendly! My only complaint is that we ended up with 6 out if 7 roosters. We may have a seventh rooster cause the verdict is still out. I am really hoping the one in question us a hen! :cd

Hi Hi! We live in the Easley/Powdersville area and we are still bed to this chicken farming too! We have only been at it for about 4 months and currently have Buff Orps, Golden Comets, and Moyers. This site has been a great help to us!
