    Well after building up the lip at front of the box, eggs still in this morning. One deposited an egg but in the same place they have been using. Will keep trying to teach them.

    Do I need to worry about a cat attacking my girls?? I have 5 Black Australorps, can they keep a cat at bay? I want to let them scratch around in the yard and there are cats around the house 1 mostly.

    Yes they are all Australorps i am in Georgia no snakes this time of year. Have not tried the fake egg or golf ball trick will try it and see. Other then layer feed ans cracked corn what else should i be giving my girls for good egg layin?

    I use Heavy Duty plastic abs garbage cans. Lids lock on and feed, cracked corn all stay dry and .fresh
