    We have already disposed the bodies, but will monitor how these 2 go for the next week then I think we will take them to get checked out and see whether it is safe enough to buy some more chickens. Thanks :)

    We do have chicken feed, I fill it up for them every 2 or 3 days, they always demolish it. I have thought maybe the white watery poo with red bits in it maybe the from the ducks?? But yes I will definately take your advice on board and let you know what happens. Thank you very much :)

    I just walked outside and found two piles of diarrhea :S one was just a very watery consistancy, not a whole lot of water and was a muddy brown colour, the other pile was extremely watery, was mainly water with a white colour with some red piles in the middle. Is this blood :(

    Yea I don't know how much protein they really get because we generally don't feed them, they just dig around all day and eat what they want. When they are thirsty I do wonder if they go down to their coop where there is water because they like to hang around their house where there usually isn't...

    Yea well I am thinking they must have eaten something because the other two are doing fine and perhaps they are the only two who have not eaten anything? Really hard because I really want to get the others cut open to see what caused it but being a student I only have limited money for food...

I was very paranoid about them so I checked on them about 3 times during the night to see what goes on with them, al though I have no idea where one of them sleeps, was completely missing in the night but then walked out in the morning.     Ok thank you so much for the help. I will see what happens with my remaining chickens and act on that, will have to clean out the coop well. Will see what happens with the last two tonight. Hopefully it will not affect the ducks or rooster

    Yea sudden death syndrome does sound like a possibility although it is just killing all of the hens and only 1 out of the 4 that died was on its back. It kind of sounds like it could be Avian Influenza if you know much about that? Just seems to be something because they have not had any symptoms...

    Also it looks pretty likely that they have Marek's disease so will the rooster be infected and die also? Haven't seen a lot of cases around roosters having the disease. Thank you :)
