Invasive plants like mint. Russian Sage, tree of heaven, rose of sharon, etc. spread not only in your yard but your neighbor's yard and into the wild. They become a nightmare to weed and out compete native plants which birds and butterflies rely on for food and shelter.
Sigh, we have 1 out of four hens who qualifies as a serial broody hen. Early this summer it took me 3 1/2 weeks in broody jail to break her hormonal overdrive. She still hasn't regained all of her weight.
