Need advice for the best vines and plants for in a chicken run!
Invasive plants like mint. Russian Sage, tree of heaven, rose of sharon, etc. spread not only in your yard but your neighbor's yard and into the wild. They become a nightmare to weed and out compete native plants which birds and butterflies rely on for food and shelter.- Ddb123

Constantly Broody Hen
Sigh, we have 1 out of four hens who qualifies as a serial broody hen. Early this summer it took me 3 1/2 weeks in broody jail to break her hormonal overdrive. Mites?
My guess is, yes. I am no vet but here is my suggestion for mites. I would start with a complete coop and nesting box clean out and a good spray down with Electro PSP. Then, move onto the birds and you can spray them down with the Electro PSP, soak the vent area. It takes repeated effort to...- Ddb123

I feel you. I am battling depluming mites. So far the dipping the chickens and rubbing in Permethrin seems to be working on all but one chicken. I am now trying sulfur. It seems very promising.
