    Sorry to add to this post but can anyone identify this quail, it hatched among a load of coturnix but is the only one like it, just wondered if there was a name for it or if its just a colour/pattern variation

    Its where they absorb the yolk, will be fine, one of mine that hatched last week also had a bit of yolk still to absorb, was gone the next morning.

    Looks like its where the yolk is absorbed into its stomach, just like a belly button, will more than likely be nearly gone tomorrow

    This is Button, he is 6 days old and i believe he is a Khaki Campbell but starting to wonder if he may have part Indian runner.

    Havnt tried wiping it over yet but its already looking more fluffed up so may just see how it is in the morning, its no effecting him in any way i just think it looks odd, also goin to try find somewhere to get a couple of day old KC or runners to be his friends
