    When can chicks go outside

    We are planning to put our 5 new Production Red pullets out in a week when they are 6 weeks old and our temps reach 60's and 70's consistently at night. Should we keep a heat lamp on at night for it bit?

    We are living at the edge of town so cats and some dogs are our main predators. Money is tight so cannot afford much but do plan to build to last.
