    Well I seem to have cured the soft shelled egg problem! I added two more POL chickens on Sunday to my flock (now consisting of 4) and now no one is laying anything. Am apparently running a full board, all inclusive holiday resort for hens . Hopefully production will resume soon.

    Thank you for that - will give it a go. She's just over a year old and it happened immediately she lost her friend. Happy to try anything to help her!

    I think I need to view White Chicken as a pet and if she starts laying properly again then I'll consider it a bonus. I was saddened to see how upset she was.
