Im pretty sure I am not allowed to have ANY!!! But oh well! I have a flock of 23 and my roosters crow all day and night. As long as the neighbors dont mind, noone even knows they are here And since most of the neighbors also have chickens, I am not worried about it!
I have a free range hen who is not broody, wont sit on the nest to save her life! BUT she also hides her nest and if I find it she abandons it and makes a new one! She is driving me nuts!
I know this is an old post, but I am having the same problem! I have three white cochin bantams and they are 6 weeks old. They all have the same size comb, but one has much shorter wing feathers. Wish I could be sure I know someone who wants a rooster, but I cant give him away until I am 100%!
