    If most of the genetics are from rooster than Thats a bad crossing because my local rooster breed are less in body weight and produce less egg and go broody. I need to find the australorp rooster.

    Does Anybody have tried Crossing australorp hen with local rooster. I have chicks crossed between australorp and local rooster also rhode island red hen crossed with local rooster. Will the new generation of australorp will be smaller in size and body weight or produce less egg?

    your hen is beautiful. My hens egg color is light brown and the egg is smooth. In this picture there are egg of 3 breed hen. small egg with light brown is of that hen and egg with same size but bown color is of rhode island red hen and bigger eggs are of giriraja.

    Help Crossing rhode island red with local roster

    Hi friends my Rhode island red hen never goes broody. i crossed rhode island red hen with local breed of rooster, . This local rooster breeds are good at hatching their own egg. Will the crossed chicks comeout will go broody as the father breed. This picture is the local breed of our rooster.

    For me i am confused i am guessing 1st chick is hen and 2nd is rooster. 1st chicks wings are bigger and have tail. 2nd chicks wings are small and dont have tail. 1st chicks have 2 layer of feather one layer shorter. 2nd chicks have 2 layer of feather but one layer have lonly few long feather...
