    We got these from a local friend. We raised these from egg, thru incubation, and had to nurse a couple with splayed legs (thanks to BYC!!). The last we got these from retrieved the eggs from pure white Silkies, but the was a black roster in the coop at times... It was either a Bantam or Cochin I...

    I was told by my local feed store, that as of Jan of this year, they are no longer allowed to dispense antibiotics.. only through prescription... Not sure if that's all states, but I see them available online.

    Thanks, I'm going to just put Neosporin around the eyes for now (which I've read on others' posts), and call our vet Monday. The feed store said starting in Jan of this year, they are no longer allowed to dispense antibiotics without a prescription.
