I used insulation strips around the door, the kind that keeps out drafts. Cut to fit and used cable ties to secure them. It's been over three years and no issues.
When my hen got a bad case of poultry lice, I gave her a bath with warm water and mild Ivory soap. Rinsed thoroughly and spent about an hour drying her with my hair dryer on low. It took a couple hours but worked well. The lice and nits all died.
