How large are Kalmbach Flock Maker Pellets?

My bantams eat Kalmbach pellets, no problem.

5 week old olive egger pullets and bantams available in Middletown, CT

I have a pair of each for sale. $10 for one, $15 for a pair. All fully feathered and living outside. Love them all but don’t have enough space to keep all. First pic are the eggers. Second shows bantams under an egger to show size difference. DM me if interested.

    A Solution for All

I agree. And those who give it up, kudos to them for realizing chicken keeping isn’t for them. Hopefully they all find good forever homes.

Integrating a bantam into small flock of regular hens.

Success! Gertie is with the big girls as of yesterday. She spends a lot of time on perches, but no injuries. Yay!

    Chicken saddles?

I own the same saddle as yours, so I know it’s stiff fabric. If you need to use saddles get something softer and lighter. That may help. Good luck!

Integrating a bantam into small flock of regular hens.

Meet Gertie. She is a feisty bantam I’m trying to integrate with my five hens. I thought I’d have to protect her from the others. Turns out she goes after them, but ends up getting hurt because she doesn’t realize she’s half their size. She even crows, which is hilarious. I have her attached to...

    Hen only lays when sick

Thanks. I’m not too worried as I know how to treat her when she’s sick. But the egg thing is so strange.

    Omlet coop- Florida below freezing

Also, some folks might tell you the coop doesn’t have enough ventilation, but it does. I’ve had mine for five years. No humidity or frostbite.

    Omlet coop- Florida below freezing

I live in CT and own an Omlet coop. You don’t need to do anything different. These coops are awesome in cold weather. (It was 13 degrees this morning.)

    Hen only lays when sick

She’s about three years old. She wheezes and gets very congested. It takes awhile to breakup. She’s had it all her life. I feed her high-quality layer feed and provide oyster shells.
