Checking-In On Peeps - Post Here To Say Hello!

Hello!! Yes, life has been crazy but good. We have 2 thriving flocks that we love very much. Lots of snuggling going on!! The Rocks have been producing tons of eggs and are happy it is spring so they can munch on bugs and grass. Since the grass started growing we are able to move the chicken...

Chickens are dumpy and have yellowish runny poop

The girls are almost 3 years old. Their egg production has gone down quite a bit but that seems normal for their age from what I've read. Sweetie had sour crop really bad but I nursed her through that. But she didn't fully recover. Ducky didn't have crop problems but smelled sickly and had...

Chickens are dumpy and have yellowish runny poop

We treated with ivermectin topical and the next day she started pigging out when i took a snack out to them. But today she wasn't interested. We feed them 18% layer feed and some snacks - mostly sunflower seeds, scratch, veggies, & fruits. Maybe we should also treat the flock with Corid. In 10...

Chickens are dumpy and have yellowish runny poop

I have had several chickens go downhill and pass on. The common theme has been dumpiness and yellowish runny poop. The poop smells worse than normal. No poop smells great but this was sickly smelling. I've tried probiotics and supportive care but not much helped. I tried to treat one with...

    Crazy chickens

It now has electric and insulation (still vented) with wall heaters for when it got down to 5 degrees. They are definitely spoiled!! We did...

    Crazy chickens

Thanks. We are feeding them layer feed and some scratch and bread as treats. Here is a pic of the chicken tractor/run. It's big enough to house 30 chickens and we have 23.

    Crazy chickens

Thanks. I think we'll put a camera in the coop to see what they are up to. At the very least, we should get some entertainment from the videos. :)

    Crazy chickens

We have 23 chickens and absolutely love them all. Quite a few of them are looking a little scroungy. I have attached a picture in hopes that someone will know what is going on. We don't have a rooster. We did treat them for coccidious and worms but they still look a little haggered. They have...
