    When and how do I introduce baby chicks to the coop? My hen was sitting on eggs, they started hatching 3 weeks ago. So the babies are now about 3 weeks old. They are already getting their feathers in. I'm still using a heat lamp on them at night because they still shiver without it. Anyway how...

    Stillborn chick

    My hen was sitting on 20 fertile eggs. Today is day 27. One chick hatched today, there were still 5 eggs. I shook them, they were sloshy. So.. I was curious. I broke one. it had a fully formed chick in it encased in thick, smelly, goopy blood. The chick was dead. What would have caused that...
