Sorry, I never saw your question! Last summer my husband and I put aviary netting over the entire chicken yard. A bit of a painful process! Prior to that, I would;d let them out of their run in the m morning and close it after they went to bed each night.
So, today we started breaking the broads. I have a very large dog crate, and they are all hanging out there for the foreseeable future (with food & water). Wish me luck!
