Please help, is this wry neck/star gazing?

Thanks! That’s very true. I hope the higher protein helps.

Please help, is this wry neck/star gazing?

I’ve been feeding an all flock, not sure but I know it’s not 28%, lower maybe 20-22. Thinking that might be the issue Ive switched to a 30%. However, like I said, only one turkey seems to be affected.

Do your chickens always go to the coop at night?

I have never, ever, had chickens that would always return to their coop. Some do, some want to roost wherever they want and make a mess there. For that & for safety reasons I give scratch grains at evening feeding time. They know it’s treat time and come up on their own at a certain time & I...

What eats guts of chicken entering from behind?

In my experience that’s typically an opossum. It’s too bad, I don’t mind them being around but I can’t have predation.

Please help, is this wry neck/star gazing?

New to turkeys, I have a 3 month old orlopp bronze that I noticed was looking at me sideways. The next day his necks twisted upside down. He shakes it trying to correct it. Sometimes it’s ok for most of the day, but it goes back and forth. Per my vet I’m treating him & the flock with b...

20+ pullets in one night, help identify!

Hi all, terrible discovery this morning. More than 2 dozen Cornish pullets dead or missing. Very little clues. I’ve found 7 carcasses. One has intestine pulled out but no massive bite wound. Others have small either bite or talon marks on the legs. Their coop is very close to our house &...

    Butcher while small?

Perhaps a dumb question. Considering raising some turkeys next year, never have had them before. On researching breeds I see the BB white is pretty standard and cost effective. Question I have is can I butcher them young/small, say 10-12 (dressed) lbs for those customers that may want a...

    NON-GMO Meat bird feed?

Midwest U.S. I've been looking for a feed in our farm stores (Rural King, TSC, Big R/stock and field) and I see the non-gmo/organic for around $25 per 35lb bag. That's a chunk of change for me, doubling my current feed costs.

    NON-GMO Meat bird feed?

Thanks for the spreadsheet and the info in it. But dang, that's the priciest feed I've ever seen.

Small eggs from a new layer/incubating?

Had a Bresse hen just come into laying a small egg everyday. I'm raising a flock so I'm eager to incubate and get going. I've never incubated small, new eggs before. What are y'alls success rates with this? At a week I have small spider veins appearing in most of the 6 I incubated, so that's...

    NON-GMO Meat bird feed?

I'm finishing up the last of my Cornish for the year tomorrow and thinking ahead to next spring. Does anyone have any good, off the shelf, non-gmo feed brands or ideas with protein % high enough for Cornish? They range, but I still find I need the higher protein feed. Not concerned with...

    What is this?

I will get a better pic and yes it has a crest & odd shaped beak. It has a fierce, pterodactyl look to it. Nice feathering.

    What is this?

It was the only egg out of a dozen that was supposed to be white Bresse. It doesn’t look like a Bresse of any color. Thanks for any help!

    free range layers and calves

When I try to take some they stop, plus for some very annoying reasons theres a huge broken down RV in the barnyard that sort of detracts from the farm scene lol. I'll see if I can get some this weekend.
