    Selling Duck Eggs

I sell my duck eggs for $15 per dozen which is an incredible value. You have to market them right to do that stating all of the benefits. Have a look at this website and see what they sell them for. 18 to 19 per HALF dozen. Do remember that ducks eat WAY more food than chickens. So they cost way...

    Let's talk Wry Neck/Crook Neck

I found it real easy, with my baby who had wry neck, to feed all of the birds water that had Poultry Cell Vitamins in it. It was practically impossible for me to squirt vitamins down her throat. I also fed them black oil sunflower as a treat every day as that has selenium in it. One tablespoon...

Ok I stand wrong. I wasn't aware that wry neck was as a result of brain inflammation which also happens from the lack of vitamins. Glad you are here and noticed that!

To be clear, no injury causes wry neck. If it is related to an injury than the neck is hurting and wry neck which is from a lack of vitamins is not the reason. However I agree with ChickCrack that some extra vitamins won't hurt and very well could help your chicken heal. You're definitely doing...

May, That's great to hear the story about Una. She's lucky to have you! For those of you who have done this before, could you take a look, at this photo and tell me if this is normal or not. My ducks are now about 5 weeks old. They have most of their feathers. Still a little yellow fluff here...

They are all good with exception of Lucky with the beak issue. She will be going to the bird vet next week when she gets back from the exotic pet conference. The vet said she will see about what she can do regarding surgery for her. Wry neck hope is very difficult to identify now. Since her...

Ohh wow, I just found out that green tomatoes and potatoes are very poisonous to ducks. I'm going to have to make sure they don't get ahold of any more.

Very strange. I saw your post in my email this time regarding wetting the food. I'll give that a try. I haven't thought about that. However here on the forum I don't see it. BTW, today I caught the girls on my porch stripping my cherry tomatoes off the plants. They sure did love those.

Gosh, poor little guy. That's got to be hard on him not even being able to stand. And the head turned the opposite way that's strange. My Hope always had her head the same way. Now I'm wondering if it's wry neck or neurological. It may be time for a call to a vet. My vet here was willing to let...

    Let's talk Wry Neck/Crook Neck

Here's everyone outside one night while I was cleaning their brooder. All tucking their heads back under their wing. They are now 4 weeks old. All are starting to get some real feathers. I just switched them from Starter food to Grower. I contacted Metzer Farms to let them know that if they are...

    Let's talk Wry Neck/Crook Neck

Sorry, I didn't get a message that there was a reply. Lucky is still OK but not great. She is half the size of the rest. She is developing her feathers much slower than the others. I put a pot with food in it in her cage because she has to have something deep to dig in in order to get anything...

I know that was hard for you. You did the right thing. Wry neck is a solvable problem but it's clear you weren't dealing with that and there was some sort of trauma related injury to your cockerel.

They are doing good. I'm having a hard time now telling which one the one with Wry Neck was. She has almost completely healed. Just once in a while she will have her neck sideways a little. Lucky, the one with the beak problem isn't great. She has a hard time eating since her beak doesn't pinch...

    Let's talk Wry Neck/Crook Neck

This does not sound like Wry Neck. Especially since you have been feeding them sunflower seeds which have both E and selenium in them. As Chickcrack says, I'm thinking you're right, sounds like an injury.
