    Apparently the silkies my brother brought home were carrying more than lice. Four of my hens have clear, smelly mucus coming from their noses. The affected hens also have bright yellow diarrhea. Only one seems to be acting sick, kind of lethargic with a dull comb. We have 15 chicks in a brooder...

    I live in Southwestern Louisiana. There's a skunk around here that my dad thinks is the culprit but I seriously doubt a skunk is capable of harming a full grown bird. Not a skunk right?
