    My coop/cage is outside in an area sheltered by a privacy fence. And yes, it gets very cold in MN. In a winter here, it’s pretty much expected that we’ll have some days where the high temp is below zero. And some overnight lows of -20, or -25 Fahrenheit. As far as predators… my birds are off...

    Mine survived -20 Fahrenheit in MN just fine last winter. And they didn’t huddle together or give any visible sign that it bothered them.

    hello, I have Jumbo Brown Coturnix quail. I purchased some clear plastic quail egg cartons... I believe it was from Temu. And the eggs are too big. They still kind of work, if I keep the cartons shut with rubber bands. I wouldn't want to try snapping them shut like they're designed to...

    If you put a quail rooster in with hens, how long until the hens lay fertilized eggs? I would imagine it would take some time... and that the eggs they lay the next day wouldn't be fertile... or the next day... because the shell on some of the eggs was already formed inside the hen, before...
