    The heavens opened up about 0245 this morning. My husband and I sat on the back porch breathing in the wonderful scent of pure rain until about 0500, then had to go to work. The chickens were even babbling on their perches. They have never seen rain in their 16 weeks of life.

    My chicks definitely prefer the fresh cold water we splash in their pan in the evening verses the chicken nipple waterer.

    Here in South Texas we are dry as a 50 year old bone which was left drying in the sand 100 years ago. PLEASE let it rain soon. Glad you folks got some rain drops.

    I have been pecking around the BYC website for almost a year now and have found it to be most helpful.
