Hey guys, when you put your eggs on lock down do you put them on anything so when others are hatching and hoping around they will not roll the other eggs? I don't go on lock down for 9 days, but I don't want to just lay them flat on the bottom of the incubator. Any advice of something to put...
I have some of her eggs in the incubator right now. I just did my first candle day 6 and I have 18 of 24 that look great. I had 2 that strted and died, and 4 that were clear. I think 18 of 24 is great.

Good luck. On my last hatch I got a frizzle Serama. I just ordered some more eggs that shipped today, and I think I got her last shippment. I have several in the batch coming that are supposed to be frizzled. Maybe this time next year I can help you out. :)

I was thinking like 60 or 70 years ago. I just wondered what it was. And when everyone just started feeding layer pellets. I think I need to cut back on the layer pellets some. I am noticing some of my girls are getting a little too overweight. They also free range in an acre field.
