    The chickens are Delaware's and Red Star. The duck (adult) is a Rouen. The female was taken by a predator recently. She had just started laying. Thus the ducklings (a mix). Geese are African.

    Hello from Toccoa, Georgia. I've had backyard chickens (15 to 20) for about 20 years. We've added geese and ducks, too.

    Injured hen hawk attack

    Had a fox attack my chickens. The rooster did his job protecting his girls, but was injured. He was definitely in shock with the "1000 yard stare". Took him almost a week to come out of it. Then a few more weeks to fully heal. The shock was the worst part. It was like he just gave up on life.
