I don't think so. It's looks like a skin tag that we would get. It is red, like it is bothering her. I don't know if it is draining causing the wet feathers??
This is Stella, she is a one year old polish hen. About 3 days ago I noticed her top hat was wet, it had been raining. Her feathers were still wet the next day that is when I noticed she has a growth. Any Idea's as to what this is and how to treat? No other symptoms.
.
Thank you!
Well....Uva is the same. What do you guys think? She has had the medication for 5 days. If you all think I have done all I can, and her eggs are safe to eat ( after the withdrawal period) I will just let her live her life.
She is eating, drinking and still giving us an egg a day! She has never acted sick if you know what I mean. That's why this has been so difficult, she has no other symptoms. Her color is great she is active no sneezing or discharge from her nose and her eye is not swollen shut. I am hoping...
Well $160.00 later...vet has no idea and she said Baytril is not for chickens and she said I should try a holistic approach.....that's fine, I will try her eye drops but I am going to continue with the Tylan. She said Uva could join her sisters, what difference does it make now. I think I will...
I was using 1tsp per gallon of Tylan and yesterday I started 4tsp per gallon I read to try that for 3 days then 2tsp for 6 days. I can take her to the vet but I was afraid they would recommend putting her down and I wanted to give her a chance. Is there a way I can get the puss out? I think...
Can anyone help?? She is not better after 7 days on Tylan.. She is eating and drinking and gives us an egg a day. Seems she is getting worse, now it looks like puss covering 1/2 of her eye I tried to wipe it but nothing comes out. I'm not sure where or how else to post this but if anyone...
She has been on Tylan for 2 days and she looks the same. My other girls are fine. I was hoping the meds would work a lot quicker. Any thoughts? She is acting normal, eating and drinking.
Thanks for the link, I will take a look. I am still hoping she just has something in her eye:} we love her lots! This morning she didn't have the foamy look it was more of a clear film. She is eating and drinking.
this is Uva, she was fine when we let her out to free range about an hour later her eye was swollen and foamy. We separated her from her sisters. I hope she just has something in her eye. Please let me know what you all think. Thanks so much!
