Ah gotcha, thanks! I started giving them oyster shell and plain yogurt on occasion. I still have that one that is laying the soft shelled eggs...I keep finding the egg on the poop board so I suspect she is "pooping" the egg out in her sleep
So I went to collect eggs and I found a puddle of what looks like egg whites and the 2 eggs that were there were intact just dirty with egg and yolk. Is this just an egg that got laid with no shell? I found no remnants of egg shell
I was really hoping for pullet but my doubts seem to be right so far. I don't think I can have a rooster where I live so will most likely have to rehome
I got this f2 olive egger from someone local. I was told that mom is black copper maran and dad is a cream legbar. I was told it should be a pullet.....
Any input? She now has some brown on her feathers on her head and neck. I will take a better pic in the morning
Thanks in advance!
I suppose it's possible...they're not by the chicken wire much, only on their "field trips" outside. Sometimes her vent looks like is sticking out a bit
I noticed this on my chick and don't know if something is going on? There's at least 1 other that looks similar to this. Any idea if it's something bad?
Thanks in advance!
So I know this post is way older....I found it while looking for the answer to this very question "what is a indexed chick?" Well, when I was about to buy chickens from this lady, she told me this so I asked her what that meant....she actually meant to type un-sexed but her phone auto corrected...
