    Feed inside or outside or both?

    Since I feed mine once each day, I put the food in the run (when it's not raining) in the mornings when the girls are let out of their coop. In the evenings, when I close them up, I put what's left of the food in the coop. My thinking is that less food in the coop means less poop in the coop!

    ALABAMA!!

    Hello from Mobile! I am a new chicken owner (since April) and have two marans, two cochins and one orpington. I've been learning by trial and error, trying to keep up with the info on the internet. I understand there are quite a few people in Mobile who have started raising chickens.

    Hello from lower Alabama. I started my flock in April with four 2-day old biddies. After losing three, I bought four more but bought pullets this time, which were much easier to get started. I have two marans, two cochins and one Orpington now. Only the Orp's name is "DQ" for Drama Queen...
