My chicks are dying!!! Hoovers Hatchery

I'm in the Scranton, PA area. I order (sexed) chicks from Stromberg's, and they deliver my order to their store in Wilkes-Barre. I pick up my babies there. I've done this two years in a row, and haven't had a problem at all. Stromberg's headquarters is located in Minnesota, and will ship to your...

Cover or replace manufacturer installed window covering?

Yes. TY I was thinking the same. Newbie here .. Mfr says coop fits 6-8 chicks, but the more I research ,the more I realize those coop estimates always seem to be on the high side.

Here’s the coop. It’s approx. 4x4. Still have to build the run. Five chicks are coming April 10. Thank you for responding! And for your reassurance. ☺️

Hi! Soon-to-be brand new chicken mama

Oh, yes! I'm researching like a madwoman, figure I have a few months to get this all accomplished. I'm thinking 4x4 fence posts, 2x4 frame, 1/2" hardware cloth (with apron), door, corrugated roof (partial or entire). Lots to sift through for this inexperienced gal!

Hi! Soon-to-be brand new chicken mama

Hi all, Thanks for welcoming me to your community! I am picking up my first ever 5 chicks in a few weeks here in Northeast PA - 3 buff rocks and two gold laced wyandottes. I have a brooder set-up (including a plastic tote, Ecoglow, etc), a sturdy 4x4 Quaker style coop, and no run! My two kids...
