    Help!! Broodie hen!

    Broodie hens can leave their eggs for at least a half hour, to get food, dust bath, water, etc. No the chicks should be alive. Figure 21 days of setting, and you should be pleasantly surprised with baby chicks!

  14. 16 year old Tac, with 3 day old hatchery chicks, Barred Rock, and Golden Wyandotte. Later the Rock turned out to be a mean rooster, traded him back for a Buff and bought a Russian Orloff. The Wyandotte was 2 and a half monthsold, the new hens, 3 months and 5 months about. See some of the later photos.
