how to get rid of a hawk killing my chickens

I think if you have crows around you will have better luck with some black chickens in your flock. I have 2 Asian Blacks and the hawks don't seem to hang around as much. But as they get occassionally harassed by the crows I don't think they want to bother with something that may hassle them back.

Crows are protecting my flock from a hawk

I respectfully disagree. As an outdoirsman I have Never seen a hawk actively engage even one crow let alone a murder of crows. If you are a crow hunter around a farmers field, it is not unusual to use a hawk or an owl decoy to draw them in.

I would try a site like Next Door or something like that and ask for trapper or pest removal expert. No reason to say its anyones pet. Let them take care of the situation.

    Caught a domesticated ferret killing

Ferrets are killers, domesticated or not and in most states it is illegal to have one as a pet. When you predator proof a coop you have to think like a predator, they don't need much of an opening . You or some one else can set a trap each night ,if caught have it removed to Animal control or...

    Huge Snake problems

Call the local Ag extension or Dept of Natural Resources. They may know a few people that will come out and trap them. They need to go FAR away.
