hi everyone, i am hoping to take advantage of my 4-day weekend to get my fodder and fermented feed going. will post pics if i can remember. not sure if anyone else here is following it but i have been reading the growing fodder for chickens thread, i can get a pound of wheat at winco for...
What beauties! I would love to have 2 like them. do you have their baby pix available? I want to increase my odds of getting white when I pick from a group of EEs next spring, thanks.
Congrats on your new babies, they are adorable! Maybe a Black sexlink and a Gold sexlink? At least that way you are assured of having girls! Keep us updated with more cute pix:D
The shell is so hard I had to go back out to check that I didn't pick up one of the the fake eggs!.
Congrats, it is just adorable! It won't be long before you have more than you can use!
AAAAAWWWWW!!!!!!! It is soooooooo cute! Sometimes the full size pullets lay very small first eggs too at first. You'll just have to see if you can catch anyone in nesting box this weekend. Also, this website has great breed info you can investigate-lol
We have been 5 for 5 in the last 2 days
Not bad for 4-6 month old girls, but now I have to figure out what to do with all of the eggs. Does anyone ever freeze or pickle them?
I like your super blues, but those lavender Roos are stunning! I wish I was closer to you, maybe I can find an EE breeder here in AZ. I love the unique breeding programs individuals have going, very interesting.... Maybe someday I will quit riding horses and start breeding chickens!
Gifa, that is an amazing pictorial, thanks! so, the lighter the better, but no guarantees, huh.
Those are colored like my gold sexlinks. I've seen some all white ones, but not showing the progression like that. I know from being a chicken mom already, that it doesn't matter what color they are...
Hello, all you EE lovers- 1st time poster here on this thread. I'm looking to add a couple EEs to my flock next, but really want them to be mostly white/light feathered. Does anyone have pix of what color day-old chicks to look for to get white or mostly white adult? I would assume yellow, but...
No heat from me, I'm on your side! As a small animal vet, I have seen so much damage done by uncontrolled dogs- other pets, wildlife, and people/children. But don't blame the dogs, blame the owners: they are the ones that don't socialize them, train them, confine them or correct them. I have...
Almost all of mine are laying now too-4 of 5. I'm feeling a very strong desire to get more chicks, does that feeling every pass? darn chicken math!
